David B. Wexler

David B. Wexler is a Professor of Law at the University of Puerto Rico in San Juan, Puerto Rico, a Distinguished Research Professor of Law at the James E. Rogers College of Law, Tucson, Arizona, and the Director of the International Network on Therapeutic Jurisprudence.

Prof Wexler is credited with being the first to discuss the Therapeutic Jurisprudence perspective in 1987, and along with the late Prof Bruce Winick, has been recognized as one of the two leading scholars in this field. He is a consultant on Therapeutic Jurisprudence to the National Judicial Institute of Canada and has served as a Fulbright Senior Specialist. One author characterizes Wexler's jurisprudence as "radical centrist in orientation".
